So, I’m gradually switching my website to PortePhotos.ca. During the conversion from .com to .ca the new site is called: New Porte Photos. Once the .com expires the new site will become Porte Photos.
The major difference is that I won’t have as much storage space for photos. Daily Pic gallery history will be limited to 3 months. I don’t think this will impact my subscribers, I haven’t seen anyone venture backward to the 3 years I was previously leaving on the website.
The free site also really limits the format, so I can’t have the sidebar that used to be for my Photography advertising. I’ll need to design a page for that function. I have never had a lead from the advertising on my website. Most customers are from word of mouth. So I’ll keep answering the “know a good photographer” questions on my local Facebook sites and keep taking my walks 😉
