Porte Ponderings:
My first grandchild has epilepsy. No not the grand Mal seizures, but absent seizures. On his medication there is no problem, but without it the absent seizures can have disastrous results. Last summer just riding his bike along Dundas Street he had a seizure that caused him to ride his bike into a truck. Luckily he only received bruises. He was wearing his helmet, he had his phone with him, a bystander was able to act quickly to help him, his parents were home to go to the hospital with him. Everything lined up just right. The truck was damaged, but everyone was able to walk away alive.
